UFC chief Dana White has issued a response to speculation that Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey will feature at UFC 300.
With UFC 295 taking place this weekend, it's not long until MMA's top promotion company hosts another landmark pay-per-view event.
It's likely to take place in early April, with fans already building up excitement over who could feature on the card.
Former MMA star and current WWE wrestler Lesnar is one speculated name, as well as former bantamweight champion Rousey.
However, UFC president and CEO White seems to have shut down the prospect of the duo making their comebacks at UFC 300.
"I get why everybody asks," he told Sports Illustrated when asked about Lesnar and Rousey making appearances.
"I love that everybody loves them like that, and with so much passion. I do, too. But they’re definitely not coming back for UFC 300.”
Lesnar, now 46, made his first outing for the promotion at UFC 81 when he lost to Frank Mir by submission.
He went on to make seven more appearances, including a headline slot at UFC 100 and a shock return at UFC 200 in 2016, his most recent fight in the octagon.
White has previously hinted that Lesnar isn't likely to make a return as in August, he said: "I think Brock’s done, I don’t think he ever comes back."
Rousey hasn't featured in the UFC since 2016 when was defeated by Amanda Nunes by TKO after 48 seconds in round 1.
She was the first ever woman to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame, therefore cementing her status as a legend of the sport.
But White has already said that Rousey has 'accomplished everything she set out to do', with fan hopes of her returning now looking slim.
"I’m focused on Madison Square Garden," he also said ahead of UFC 295 this Saturday. "But no, they’re not coming back.”
